Assistant Engineer

Assist Project Leader(s) on project planning, execution, monitoring and coordination.

Prepare tender / project reports and technical submissions.

Record and report contractual disputes and variation orders.

Supervise site safety and work quality to ensure meeting SHEQ standard of client and other regulatory authorities.

Liaise with relevant authorities, clients, stakeholders and sub-contractors to ensure smooth and timely completion of projects.

Manage the necessary statutory permit application process.

Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel's performance) and report regularly on project status.

Meeting with client and stakeholders on an ongoing basis regarding project objectives and progress.

Assign project responsibilities to development team.

Ensure compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications.

Determines project schedule and monitor project progression.

Resolves any issues that arise and coordinate team activities to maintain approved schedule.

Controls project pace and suggest schedule changes as needed.

Controls project costs by approving expenditures and administering contractor contracts.

Prepares project status report and updates management team on project progression, completion and any necessary updates regularly.

Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.

Maintains safe and clean working environment.

Maintains project data base.

Overall execution of Electrical and/or control and communication projects through liaising with relevant stakeholders and managing project team and subcontractors to ensure that all works are completed timely.

Prepare document, material and shop drawing submission for LV installation works.

Provide site supervision to ensure the workmanship is up to the quality standard and the works carrying out is up to HSE requirements.

Carry out T&C to the installation before completion and handover.

Night Work will be required if involved in Railway Projects.

Overall execution of baggage handling system project, rolling stock, E&M and/or control and communication projects through liaising with client, relevant stakeholders and managing project team and subcontractors to ensure the all works are completed timely and within budget.

Develop or assist in design/installation drawings and to plan for T&C/inspection works.

Provide site supervision to ensure the works up to the quality standard.

Assist troubling shoot in case of equipment failure.

Assist in project development of new business.
